R. CRAIG WOOD is the Managing Partner of the Charlottesville office of McGuireWoods LLP, and serves as head of its Litigation Department. He has tried a large number of cases in state and federal courts throughout Virginia in the areas of management-side labor and employment law, commercial litigation, professional and products liability, and school and public sector law. Mr. Wood has served as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Litigation Section of the Virginia State Bar, the Board of Directors of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys and the National School Boards Association Council of School Attorneys. He is Past President of the Thomas Jefferson Chapter of the American Inns of Court, and teaches Trial Advocacy at the University of Virginia School of Law.

Mr. Wood took his Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Virginia , and his law degree magna cum laude from the Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he was admitted to the Order of the Coif.
